With more than 10 years of history, TV APARECIDA stands out among the 14 largest television networks in Brazil in scope, according to ANATEL. In our program, we celebrate faith in religious content and offer a diversified program, with cultural, educational, journalistic, sports, musical, feminine programs, live broadcasts, films and children's drawings, demonstrating our care and partnership with the Brazilian family.
The TV of Our Lady was not born by chance. It was dreamed of at least 40 years ago by redemptorist Missionaries, among them, Fr. Victor Coelho de Almeida. Notes related to Radio Aparecida from 1965 to 1997 reveal the desire kept with affection until the time was right.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Radio Aparecida that would be completed on September 8, 2001, the direction of the Nossa Senhora Aparecida Foundation, formed by Dom Aloísio Lorscheider, and Fathers César Moreira, Carlos da Silva, João Batista and Jalmir Herédia, decided to seek the channel that existed for the city of Aparecida/SP in the basic broadcasting plan – a list of channels approved by Anatel for the whole country.
The proposal that channel 59 in UHF be granted to the Nossa Senhora Aparecida Foundation was well received. On May 5, 2001, Minister Pimenta da Veiga, after participating in The Holy Mass, signed in a ceremony held on Radio Aparecida the project of granting TV Aparecida.
On October 31, 2001, the contract was signed in Brasilia/DF between the Ministry of Communications and the Nossa Senhora Aparecida Foundation, which set the 36-month deadline for the station to go on the air and, on September 8, 2005, the TV of Our Lady was inaugurated.
